Packaging/Dispatch
Here at Pole Star we take great pride in ensuring our products are packaged in a professional and secure manner.
We understand that many items are kept as van stock for weeks/months at a time and need rigid packaging boxes with polystyrene/cardboard inserts to keep the product within in good condition; or int he case of wholesalers/re-sellers these items are displayed behind counters so need to look presentable.
Our items are sent our through Parcelforce who we consider to be the most reliable and considerate of parcel delivery firms in the UK at present.
But even so in a busy van many items can get squashed or multiple items separated, which is why again we have double and triple walled outer boxes to safeguard all our items within.
Product packaging
Over 90% of products we sell are individually boxed from small products such as “multi-fits” or “compact axials” up to larger items such as “guard mounted axial fans”.
Inside we use a variety of materials depending upon the product to restrict movement and damage limitation, such as foam, pre-formed polystreme blocks, cardboard tubes to protect shafts and cardboard inserts.
Parcel Orders
When an order is received which has multiple items they are collated into a larger strong outer box, inside we use either Pole Star branded void fill or cardboard shreddings to keep the items secure.
If an order has multiple boxes of the same size then we further secure the parcel by using Pole Star branded heavy duty strapping.
Pallet Orders
For either large quantity orders or items which are bulky we send the goods out on pallets. These items are securely shrink wrapped and then strapped down to the pallet. All our pallets go out as standard as “non stackable” goods to ensure the haulier does not double stack other goods on top of our products thus potentially damaging them.
Un-branded Boxes
Some customers who are re-sellers might be interested to know that we are able in some but not all cases able to repackage some of our product ranges into plain boxes, with plain parcel tape. However there may be an additional labour fee involved if this is something you would prefer to our normal packaging.
