Crossflow/Tangential

green_squareOur crossflow fans (also known as tangential fan impellers and open frame blowers) are used wherever air is required to heat, cool or ventilate. They are either single or double units with long cylindrical wheels which are in turn constructed from many small forward curved blades. The main airflow crosses the blades twice which are contrary to how an axial-flow fan works.

Typically two-pole asynchronous motors with short circuit turns suitable for continuous duty are used. The most popular units are 230V although 12V-24V DC are sometimes available upon request. The construction methods of the housing enables the motor to be mounted in four positions, respectively 0°, 90°, 180°, 270°.

  • Impeller fitted with nylon end bearing
  • Self lubricating bronze sleeve bearings
  • Galvanised sheet metal fan housing
  • Normal operation of the fan is horizontal

TCS and TCD range (30mm diameter wheel)

  • Single inlet wheel length options are: 106mm, 150mm, 200mm, 230mm, 250mm, 300mm, 350mm and 400mm.

TDS and TDD range (40mm diameter wheel)

  • Single inlet wheel length options are: 95mm, 189mm, 266mm and 300mm

TES and TED range (65mm diameter wheel)

  • Single inlet wheel length options are: 90mm, 120mm, 180mm, 240mm, 270mm, 300mm, 360mm, 420mm, 480mm, 550mm and 610mm.

THS and THD range (133mm diameter wheel)

  • Single inlet wheel length options are: 200mm, 400mm, 600mm, 830mm, 1030mm, 1230mm, 1630mm and 1830mm.

In many cases other wheel lengths are available upon request dependent upon quantity required.
